The IS150 Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter provides a compact, passive signal conversion solution for connecting Mini DisplayPort sources to DVI-D Single Link displays in professional AV environments. Its slim ABS housing and short 0.10 m cable design facilitate installations where space is limited or device proximity is required, such as podiums, workspaces, and meeting rooms. Triple shielding and high-purity copper conductors maintain signal integrity in electrically noisy environments, while gold-plated precision contacts support reliable connectivity and long-term mechanical durability. The integrated portsaver feature addresses device port strain and enables secure cable management in fixed or semi-permanent AV setups.
Mini DisplayPort 1.1 to DVI-D: Supports digital video conversion from Mini DisplayPort 1.1 sources to DVI-D Single Link (24+5) displays, enabling resolutions up to WUXGA (1920x1200). This unidirectional adapter is suitable for connecting modern laptops or workstations to legacy DVI-equipped monitors in control rooms or shared workspaces.
Gold Plated Precision Contacts: Gold-plated contacts provide enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance, ensuring stable signal transfer and minimising contact degradation over repeated connection cycles. This feature is particularly relevant for high-use environments such as conference rooms and collaborative workstations.
Unidirectional Signal Path: The adapter is engineered for one-way signal conversion, transmitting video exclusively from Mini DisplayPort sources to DVI-D displays. This prevents misconnection and supports consistent device compatibility in managed AV deployments.
High Purity Copper and Triple Shielding: Utilises high-purity copper conductors with triple-layer shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity. This construction supports reliable video output in installations exposed to potential electrical noise or dense cabling infrastructures.
Portsaver and Strain Relief: The integrated portsaver design allows a narrow bending radius and provides strain relief at the device port, reducing mechanical stress and potential damage during frequent connections or in constrained installation spaces.
Reliable Digital Video Adaptation for AV Installations
The IS150 adapter serves as a practical interface for connecting Mini DisplayPort-equipped devices to DVI-D displays in professional AV settings. By combining passive signal conversion, robust shielding, and mechanical strain relief, this unit supports stable digital video transmission and reduces wear on device ports in high-traffic meeting rooms, workspaces, and control environments.
The cables are essentially unidirectional, i.e. they can only transport the signal in one direction. This is always clearly indicated. Only the cables and adapters with the same signal type on both sides (e.g. DisplayPort to DisplayPort) can be used bidirectionally.
All adapters feature a 0.10 meter long Portsaver pigtail cable with a very small bending radius, which provides effective strain relief to the connected devices sockets. All cables, including the Portsaver cables of the adapters, are triple-shielded and equipped with inner conductors made of tinned copper strands. Except the DisplayPort female sockets (PVC), the connectors of all cables and adapters are made of robust ABS material the metal plug housings themselves are always nickel-plated and the connection pins are always gold-plated. This allows for perfect signal transmission at all times while efficiently protecting against corrosion.
The USB-C plug of IS2200 up to IS2221 cables can be used reversibly, so there is no need to pay attention to the plug direction. All USB-C cables transmit AV streams using DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode), provided the source device also supports DP Alt Mode. They are not suitable for USB data and power transmission.
The cable diameter varies between 4.5mm and 4.8mm depending on the signal type of the cable and is always 3.9mm for all cables with USB-C connection.
All cables are available in two colour variants. White cables end with the number "0" in the item number, the black versions with a "1".
