IS120 – DisplayPort 1.2 Adapter: 4K60 Signal Extension and Portsaver Integration
The IS120 DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapter utilises a compact 0.10 m cable assembly with a slim ABS housing, engineered for high-density AV environments where space and cable management are critical. Designed for professional applications requiring reliable 4K60 signal extension, this adapter incorporates triple shielding and high-purity copper conductors to minimise electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity. The portsaver function supports narrow bending radii, reducing mechanical stress on device ports during repeated connection cycles. Suitable for meeting rooms, control rooms, and workstation deployments, the IS120 facilitates secure, high-performance DisplayPort interconnections.
DisplayPort 1.2 – 4K60 Support: This adapter supports DisplayPort 1.2 bandwidth up to 21.6 Gbps, enabling transmission of 4K UltraHD content at 60 Hz. It is suitable for high-resolution display extension in professional AV installations, ensuring compatibility with modern display hardware and graphics sources.
Gold Plated Precision Contacts: Gold-plated contacts provide low contact resistance and enhanced corrosion resistance, supporting stable long-term connections. This design improves signal reliability in environments where frequent reconnections or high humidity may otherwise impact contact quality.
DisplayPort Male to Female Configuration: The adapter features a male-to-female DisplayPort interface, supporting flexible extension or adaptation of existing DisplayPort cabling. This configuration is particularly effective for integrating with embedded ports in tight rack spaces or desktop setups.
High Purity Copper and Triple Shielding: High-purity copper conductors combined with triple-layer shielding reduce signal loss and electromagnetic interference. This construction maintains signal integrity in electrically noisy environments, supporting deployment in control rooms or near power distribution systems.
Portsaver and Strain Relief Design: The portsaver function enables a narrow bending radius, reducing mechanical stress on device ports and connectors. Integrated strain relief extends device port lifespan, particularly in installations where frequent cable movement or limited rear clearance is encountered.
Reliable Signal Extension for Professional AV Environments
The IS120 supports stable 4K60 DisplayPort signal extension while addressing common mechanical and electrical challenges in AV deployments. By combining precision contacts, robust shielding, and portsaver functionality, this adapter enables secure, high-performance connections in workspaces, control rooms, and meeting environments where space constraints and signal reliability are paramount.
The cables are essentially unidirectional, i.e. they can only transport the signal in one direction. This is always clearly indicated. Only the cables and adapters with the same signal type on both sides (e.g. DisplayPort to DisplayPort) can be used bidirectionally.
All adapters feature a 0.10 meter long Portsaver pigtail cable with a very small bending radius, which provides effective strain relief to the connected devices sockets. All cables, including the Portsaver cables of the adapters, are triple-shielded and equipped with inner conductors made of tinned copper strands. Except the DisplayPort female sockets (PVC), the connectors of all cables and adapters are made of robust ABS material the metal plug housings themselves are always nickel-plated and the connection pins are always gold-plated. This allows for perfect signal transmission at all times while efficiently protecting against corrosion.
The USB-C plug of IS2200 up to IS2221 cables can be used reversibly, so there is no need to pay attention to the plug direction. All USB-C cables transmit AV streams using DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode), provided the source device also supports DP Alt Mode. They are not suitable for USB data and power transmission.
The cable diameter varies between 4.5mm and 4.8mm depending on the signal type of the cable and is always 3.9mm for all cables with USB-C connection.
All cables are available in two colour variants. White cables end with the number "0" in the item number, the black versions with a "1".
