IS151 – Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter: WUXGA Signal Conversion for Professional AV Setups
The IS151 Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter is engineered for reliable signal conversion between Mini DisplayPort sources and DVI-D Single Link displays in professional AV environments. Its slim ABS housing minimises installation footprint, supporting use in confined spaces such as meeting room podiums, control desks, or digital signage enclosures. Triple shielding and high-purity copper conductors maintain signal integrity, even in electrically noisy environments. The adapter’s unidirectional design ensures correct signal flow from source to display, while gold-plated precision contacts enhance connection reliability and reduce insertion loss during repeated deployments.
WUXGA Resolution Support: This adapter supports Mini DisplayPort 1.1 to DVI-D Single Link conversion at resolutions up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA). It enables integration of modern Mini DisplayPort sources with legacy DVI displays in workspaces and conference settings without compromising image quality.
Gold Plated Precision Contacts: Gold-plated contacts provide enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance. This feature ensures stable signal transmission and maintains long-term reliability in environments requiring frequent connection cycles or where low contact resistance is critical.
Unidirectional Signal Path: The adapter is designed for unidirectional operation, transmitting video from Mini DisplayPort male to DVI-D Single Link (24+5) female. This configuration prevents signal confusion and supports straightforward integration into fixed AV installations.
Triple Shielded Copper Conductors: High-purity copper conductors combined with triple-layer shielding reduce electromagnetic interference. This construction supports clean signal delivery in installations exposed to potential EMI sources, such as control rooms or equipment racks.
Portsaver with Strain Relief: The integrated portsaver design allows for a narrow bending radius, protecting device ports from mechanical stress. This feature extends connector lifespan and is particularly beneficial in dense AV setups or where frequent cable movement occurs.
Reliable Signal Conversion for Professional Integration
The IS151 adapter delivers stable Mini DisplayPort to DVI signal conversion, addressing typical AV challenges such as legacy display compatibility, confined installation spaces, and signal integrity in demanding environments. By combining precise contact engineering, robust shielding, and strain relief, this unit supports long-term deployment in professional meeting rooms, signage systems, and control workstations.
The cables are essentially unidirectional, i.e. they can only transport the signal in one direction. This is always clearly indicated. Only the cables and adapters with the same signal type on both sides (e.g. DisplayPort to DisplayPort) can be used bidirectionally.
All adapters feature a 0.10 meter long Portsaver pigtail cable with a very small bending radius, which provides effective strain relief to the connected devices sockets. All cables, including the Portsaver cables of the adapters, are triple-shielded and equipped with inner conductors made of tinned copper strands. Except the DisplayPort female sockets (PVC), the connectors of all cables and adapters are made of robust ABS material the metal plug housings themselves are always nickel-plated and the connection pins are always gold-plated. This allows for perfect signal transmission at all times while efficiently protecting against corrosion.
The USB-C plug of IS2200 up to IS2221 cables can be used reversibly, so there is no need to pay attention to the plug direction. All USB-C cables transmit AV streams using DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode), provided the source device also supports DP Alt Mode. They are not suitable for USB data and power transmission.
The cable diameter varies between 4.5mm and 4.8mm depending on the signal type of the cable and is always 3.9mm for all cables with USB-C connection.
All cables are available in two colour variants. White cables end with the number "0" in the item number, the black versions with a "1".
